Help! I have been folding my fabric and have discovered that I have way more fat quarters than I knew that I owned. So far, I have packed 4 plastic shoe boxes full and am still finding more. Any suggestions? First thing that comes to mind is to make a scrappy quilt, but I need more specific ideas. Can you help?

There are many books and patterns that show you how to quilt using FQs. Check out the Moda Bake Shop below with their yummy recipes for FQs:

Me too have a box full of FQs and I'm wondering what to do with them. My objective now is to find suitable projects so I could quickly clear my stash.

Have fun! :)

Fat quarters are great! They make wonderful quilts. There's tons of free and $$ patterns for them.
My all time fav pattern is Yellow Brick Road. Sews up quick

So many patterns for scrappy quilts out there...it's really hard to make suggestions. Just start cruising the internet, and you are sure to find something you like that will suit your stash.

I use them in Project Linus baby quilts quite often as most of the ones I make for Linus tend to be scrappy and use squares interleaved with 4-patch or 9-patch blocks.
Or, if they aren't really baby-type fabrics, they can be used in "adult" scrappy quilts.

There are several quilts (different designs) called Turning Twenty where you use 20 fat quarters. I just love them. They are so easy. This is one of them I did for my DS and his wife. They have a jungle theme in their bedroom. Good Luck

I am making my first log cabin and it requires 20 fat quarters dark and 20 light. Maybe this is a good place to look?

Thanks for starting this. I only wish I had 4 shoeboxes full. I filled 4 sweater boxes and had to go with another method because I couldn't stuff any more into them.

I am still finding them!
You must really have a big stash of fat quarters! You win!
If you come up with any fantastic ideas, keep me in mind.

I am going to look for the Yellow Brick Road pattern. So many on this board have made it and love it. I have seen lots of Turning Twenty quilts, too. Had not thought of making a log cabin. Good idea.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Please keep them coming!!!
