I have a cricut. This has been used for many paper projects. I really have the hang of this now.. just wondering if anyone on the board uses this as a quilting tool.

cutting out patterns? really don't want the stiff fabric.. found fabric hard to cut.

thinking maybe great patterns through.. anyone have ideas?

I have a cricut but never tried to use it for quilting. I never really think of it for that purpose. Maybe someday when I want to do some applique.

The Cricut is great for applique. Iron heat n bond to the wrong side of the fabric. Do not tear off the paper. Place the heat n bond side down on the cutting mat. Make sure you have a sharp blade. Have all settings on the Cricut as you would for heavy paper. Select your pattern to be cut. Make sure the speed is set lower than normal. Cut. Peel off the fabric and heat n bond from the mat. Peel off the heat n bond. Iron your applique to whatever. Works real slick!
I used the Medium Heat n Bond.

I have used my cricut with great success with fabric using the same method. Makes applique with letters so much easier.
