My daughter was married last September and she made all her bridesmaids, candle lighter etc dresses and had her dress made by a very close friend. It was awesome!! Anyway now we have a LOT of leftover burgandy, hunter green and white satin since they bought a bolt of each. I was thinking that these would make a beautiful quilt, but not sure which pattern to use. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Wow! I am sure others on the board can give you some cool ideas!

Are the burgandy and green solids ? What type of fabric is the green and burgandy ? There are so many patterns to choose from. Have you checked quilterscache.com?

they are all solid and all satin, all the same weight so they should sew well together, although they will slide!

Sounds like the start of a crazy quilt!

Would you be able to do a bergello? I know it takes a zillion colors but the ones you have mentioned are vivid and the bergello (to me) is all about 'vivid' colors.

if you get maybe a yard of a couple of different colors of satin then you can make a lovely quilt of many different colors. You could probably make a baby quilt ;-) hint hint to your lovely daughter. hehe. I would suggest not too fancy to be a wall hanging but maybe a wedding type of quilt for their bed? or even a spare bed?

what flowers did she use? Maybe you could find a satin with a print of the flower to make a 4th and that would inspire you.

Possibly use a different fabric for the backing so it will stay on the bed? Those colors are going to make a beautiful quilt :D:D:D
