Anybody used 404 spray adhesive

This is a new to me product. Anybody used it? Pros / cons ? Up to now when I want tacky on the back of a ruler I've used a dab of Elmer's contact cement. Gets the job done and removes easily and causes no harm no foul to the ruler or its markings. Seems to be a 505 companion product - same company.

I tried it and didn't like it. No matter how lightly I tried to spray the back of my ruler it was just too sticky. I like my rulers to slide when doing that last tiny adjustment before cutting and with the 404 the ruler won't do it, I had to pick up the ruler to move it.

I bought a Quilter's Select brand ruler. It is solid grip all over the back surface of the ruler. It won't move on the fabric with slight pressure on it. Moves easily once my hand is off of it. It's better then Creative Grids. Frosted, easy to read markings, and for real no slip. I'm replacing all my basic ruler sizes with new Quilter's Select.

Creative grid rulers have upgraded their traction pads on their rulers. I also like the True Grip or Omnigrid film. I also like my Quilter's Slide Lock, which I will sometimes place on my rulers.

I use the SlideLock for safety. For small cuts I use the cut resistant glove. I don't believe in being careful and I won't get a bad cut, I want to insure I won't.

I use Dritz and get wonderful results, of course, a little goes a long ways.
