Anyone else fallen in love with Laurel Burch?

I am in awe of this womans talent. So sorry to hear of her passing. I love her fabrics. :0)
For Xmas hubby gave me her Mythical Horses embroidery designs, can't wait to stitch them out.
I have been researching her quilting books, I had no idea she had written so many reading books as well.
I have come across several, Kindred Creatures, Laurel Burch Legends, and Laurel Burch Christmas.
Also from comments from others that have purchased her quilt books, it seems used books don't have the patterns included. Could these quilts even be made without the patterns?
My question is-has anyone made quilts from any of Laurel Burch quilt books?
I'm wondering if they are worth the cost? Descriptions tend toward complicated quilts with painting,
embellishments, etc. As much as I love her whimsical creatures I don't want to buy a quilt book and not
make any of the quilts. Would appreciate any comments from other Laurel Burch fans.
Can't wait to see her new line of fabrics coming out in February by Clothworks, Butterflies!

I bought the Kindred Creatures book so many years ago I can't remember when, but I know it was back when I hadn't ever planned on quilting! (I've only started quilting since last year, although I started accumulating quilting stuff the year before.) I, too, feel that the designs are very complicated and don't really want to deal with all of the embellishments, but I like to take the book out now and then and just look through. Last time I did, just a couple of weeks ago as a matter of fact, I thought that maybe I'd at least use a fabric paint (tube kind, like old TriChem liquid embroidery) to fill in the details. But I love, love, love, her stuff. I do want to get some of her fabrics sometime, and I'm happy to see that they are still available in some places.

I have a shelf just for her fabrics....love them all. Even have them in yards, fq, and such. Also have about 10 pairs of her awesome socks which look like her fabrics, jewlery, books, coffee mug......so I guess I do love her work too. Glad her family is continuing her line.

I have collected fabric from several of her lines for future projects.

I've got one in progress for my sister from her celestial line: http://quiltingcorgis.blogspot.com/2...l-circles.html

Love her fabric. I have a couple travel bags done in her designs too.

You know life is not fair when one person had so much more talent than the rest of us, and then she was taken from us. I love all her stuff. I have some of her fabric, a wonderful huge tote bag, and I've bought a scarf of hers for my sister. Now I need to love myself enough to buy one for me!
