This is a PDF book, the pattern there is called "Little Boxes". Can't remember where I ordered it, quick and easy as it is downloadable, wasn't expensive either, considering there are 101 block patterns. Try Google.

The pattern is made of tumbling block hexagons, each made from three 60 degree diamonds (light, med, dark).

The effect shown in the picture is achieved by making each hexagon into a rhombus so they can then easily be pieced together in rows (or columns).

The rhombus is made by adding two 60degree equilateral triangles (NOT HST), one in each opposite corners of the hexagon.
The triangle side size is the same as the finished side of the diamond, plus seam allowances.

I'm sure I saw something like this in the book
Big Book of building block quilts by Sara Nephew, a friend had the book and I looked through it.

Does anyone have this book so they could look and see if this pattern was in it??

I have this book and yes, the pattern is in it. It is in my pile of books to sell if any one is interested. Just haven't gotten around to posting yet.
