I have been searching for a quilt hanger to put up over a closet to hang a flannel design wall. I have been looking for something that is not too pricey, and easy to hang so that I can do it.. Mainly...I want something that I can order and take care of myself because I have asked my hubby about making one...he says he can with no problem...but I know it will take forever to have it finished.
So my question is now for all of you....has anyone used this product? And how do you like it?

Here is the link. It has a short video. They also have some other interesting products that you may find helpful.

I have been looking for something very similar. One question though: how do you actually hang the quilt from it? Do you thing the silver metal pieces are spring loaded clamps?

ETA: Never mind - I figured it out LOL

Can you use a pull down blind and spray adhesive to attach flannel to it? That way you can roll it up out of the way

I do think they are spring loaded clamps...but maybe someone can tell us for sure. And I wonder how easy it would be to load and unload them.

This was really my first thought...but I have not been able to find the rolling shades! But let me clarify...I want a pretty large one...about 5 feet across at least. I saw one somewhere that was made with a plastic bamboo looking one, and was put on with spray adhesive and then stitched down to add more strength. Anyone know of a store that carries the plastic bamboo kind?

Did you look online for large roller shades?

I bought the Fons and Porter design wall on sale at Connecting Threads. I also bought a shower rod and shower curtain hooks. I intend on putting the rod up a the top of the closet, outside of the sliding doors. I'm going to attach velcro straps on either end so I can roll up the design wall and leave it up. It should not interfere with the closet that way.

Well..that might just be an option that would work for me! I had never thought of grommets in the flannel. I am going to give that some thought. Somewhere on the internet, I saw (or read) about the plastic bamboo shades with the flannel attached, and I liked the idea that they could roll up to get to the closet easily....But alas, I have not been able to find the "plastic" bamboo shades. This may be as good. Thanks so much!
