As I now have my "All singing all dancing" Bernina 440QE waiting for me in my Christmas box my next thoughts are " Heeeeellllpp" well not really but well maybe yes!!! I paint in acrylics but mainly abstracts spurred by either nature or things I have seem. Always having been interested in fabric from a small girl, I would now like to tranfer some of these ideas into mini quilts or wall hangings. Anyone able to recommend books fir appliqué. That is probably the way forward for me. Or any other ideas or recommentations would be gratefully received. Had to look up " batting" now need to know from where to buy it.

go to Hancock fabrics or joanns or Hobby Lobby , what ever you have in your area to purchase your "batting". Also you may have a LQS { local quilt shop} in your town, they can give you loads of information and sell you batting, fabric, etc. with personalized assistance.
Have fun

if you draw and/or paint, I'll bet you'll be good at thread painting.

I like to check out books at the library, read them, and then decide if I want to buy them  Our's also lets us put books on hold, if they are not immediately availble. I have a long list LOL :D:D:D
