I'm working on an English pieced hexagon quilt. I'm sure mine won't be as big as theirs. :D :D :D :D :D

That is really cool!!!
too bad I don't know how to make them! LOL |
i have a friend making little rosettes out of old silk ties. it's her carry-around project.
when i watch her doing it, i give thanks that i never started doing that. i'm also saving silk men's ties, but oooh! baby! they're not going to be hexes. also, a question. what happens on the back? is it tied off in the hex corners? you wouldn't want to tie off in the centers, would you? wouldn't that spoil the overall effect? and would you batt? or just line? or use flannel? and then what would it be? a utility quilt or a hanging? wouldn't it be too fragile to use? |

I'm also in the process of making a EPP Hexagon (1") quilt...but there's no way mine will be as large are theirs. It's time consuming, but great therapy--beats reruns and mindless TV. :)

I too am making a hex quilt....very time consuming....but sooooo meditative (and you have something tangible after the "meditation"). I thought I was brave trying for queen size....nice to see it will be able to be shared by so many recipients.

Earthwalker...me too. I am aiming for a queen size for myself (for a change) and it took me a couple of weeks of "self-talk" to decide that I can take on this project. :)
Hope you share your progress. |
those are pretty. i've never tried it. :(
