Yes...even if it feels "stiff", it is an easy fix, so YES!! $200 is a great price.

Every thing on it looks original, cords and belts. The finish is in wonderful shape, including the decals. I want to read the manual, clean it a little bit and oil it. The woman who owned it died at 93 years. She probably was the only owner. I found her name in the manual, so I named her Ruth , after her owner. Her manufacture date is 2 days after I was born. We were ment to be together. She looks so good my husband thinks I should have her put in a clear plastic case and displayed in the livingroom. Of course you can guess what I think of that idea. How wonderful - certainly seems Ruth was meant to be yours. Congratulations - you will enjoy sewing with Ruth. FWs are so cute and so much fun to sew on.

Oh Good...I am so glad it is a happy ending! Ruth found a home! That is a great price for the condition you described. I actually spent 300$ on mine but it is a centennial model in pristine condition...not a scratch on her...all accessories and case as well..Her name is "Prissy"

Hurrah! Another vintage machine will be loved and cared for. Ruth will serve you well, and I'll bet you enjoy her a lot!
