Baby Lock Unity
My husband took me to one of our LQS to buy me a Baby Lock Symphony. I ended up with a Unity instead....a combination sewing machine and embroidery machine. WOW!! I took the machine out the of the box today and I've messed with only a few bells and whistles. I've never embroidered so I have many many hours of learning. I'm afraid I won't get anything done for awhile because I will be learning about the new machine. I may have to switch to the other desk that holds my Bernina Activa 230 when I am ready to actually start piecing a few quilts again!

Sounds like you are going to have lots of fun! Congratulations on the new machine. :-)

Congrats! I have the Crescendo and have been wondering if it would be worth it to have gotten a combo quilting/embroidery machine. I do have a year to "trade up" for full value.

Welcome to a fun addiction. I got my first emb. machine last April and I'm trading it in tomorrow for one with bigger hoops. If your dealer offers classes and/or clubs, go to all you can. I've learned so much from the classes. Baby Locks are very user friendly. There are many places online to download free emb. designs. Feel free to PM me if I can offer any support. You'll soon see things that need emb everywhere.

Oh that's so exciting!! You will love your new Babylock....I have the Symphony and the Elegante2 and LOVE them both!! Embroidery is such fun and I love to do towels, shirts, and in the hoop projects are fabulous! I love my Symphony for quilting and make lots of purses and quilts....my DH says we'll never be cold around here!
If you have any questions I maybe can help....... Enjoy enjoy your new machine.....lucky you!! Bev |
I have the brother version, PM me if you have any questions

Thanks for all the support here. Last night I did some piecing with it and WOW. Love the auto threader, cutter, foot lift, the quietnes....and the lighting. I can't tell you how many times I saw the baby tear while I was threading it! I haven't opened the embroidery part from the box. I need to finish some projects before I let myself play with it!
f I am signed up for an embroidery club and the LQS owner will be great to help me when I'm ready for that part of the process. I think I made a good choice. I will definately be in touch with people for where to go for free patterns. Thanks! |
If you dont mind me asking could you tell me approximately how much the unity cost?> thanks
