I recently found out I will be a Great Grandma in August.
I am a beginner/intermediate quilter. Does anyone have any ideas for a baby quilt when we do not know the gender?

Congratulations! Do you prefer pastels or bright colors? Anything with puppies, kitties or other little animals in simple block patterns, maybe the Disappearing 9 Patch pattern. That goes pretty quick. I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas and inspiration here.

I think pastels, but if I was sure it would be a boy, I'd go for the bold colors. The puppies and kittens is a good idea. I do not have the disapearing 9 patch pattern.

There's a tutorial for disappearing 9 patch. It's a lot of fun, and super simple to make!

I personally would use bright rainbow colours for either gender. Do you know if they will be finding out the gender before birth? If they are, you could wait a bit before starting - a crib sized D9P would go together very fast.
