Batting for Eye popping Ugly quilt

1 Attachment(s)
I'm using a fat quarter bundle from Tuesday Morning, Haven's Edge by Tina Givens, for what I'm calling my Ugly quilt. I want this quilt to have as much wrinkling as possible, I think it needs that to soften and meld the fabrics. I usually use 80/20 batting that my quilter got for me when she bought for her shop. Not sure what brand it is but it doesn't have much shrinkage or wrinkling. I need some suggestions for a cotton batting that will shink/wrinkle as much as possible.

I usually only use Warm & Natural and I don't preshrink it so I get lots of crinkles when I wash the finished quilt.

I think most 100% cotton and wool batting will shrink enough. Stay away from the synthetics like polyester.

I didn't know wool would shrink. What kind of shrinkage/wrinkling will wool make?

UGLY???? I absolutely LOVE your quilt!!! Love all the colors ... it is FABULOUS!!! I've only done 3 rag quilts, so I have no advice on which batting to use.

I think it is a great quilt but Warm and Natural crinkles when I use it.

Thank you scrappingfaye58 and jj1150. I was drawn to these fabrics when I saw them but do have to admit they are an acquired taste. My sister said they are horrendous. I think once quilted it will be a pretty (ugly), my mom says interesting quilt. LOL! Same thing my husband said earlier today, "Interesting".

I like shrinkage on quilts, so I use non-washed quilt backings :-)
