Has anyone tried the new Heat Press Batting tape? It sounds good, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried it. I haven't had a lot of luck trying to stitch or baste pieces together.

Haven't tried that yet....would like to know too

I haven't tried the iron-on tape but I just cut straight edges on my batting scraps and use a big zig-zag stitch. works just fine, and if you have a little gap every-so-often, it's ok. (I won't tell!)

Interesting. I can't wait to see if someone had tried it.

I've used the tape and I like it. But, I will say, I've only used it for small projects. If I have a big quilt, I use fresh batting and don't have to tape it together. I've used the tape for wallhangings or lap quilts.

i got a roll and it is just like light weight interfacing. you have to get it into your quilt quickly and it will stay for that. not a lot of handling. any fusible interfacing only stays on until sew into a garment or quilt. i wont' buy another roll though, even though it's much faster than my basting the pieces together by hand.

I just buy lightweight fuseable interfacing, cut into 2-3" strips, and use that. Works great!
