anyone here have one?

I'd love to hear your opinions of it.

I have a 1230 which I *love*.

Is the 1260 the one with the "ball" controller? As I recall, it is capable of wider stitches and therefore more embroidery capabilities, but I think a lot of people did not like the "ball". I tried out that machine but preferred the 1230.

I'm embarrased to say, but I purchase a 1260 two years ago and haven't used it but maybe a whole 2 hours. The owner died and the daughter sold it for a very reasonable price (considering how much it was new ~ the original receipt and all paperwork was with the manual).

I've never heard it mentioned before, I was wondering why?

One day I'll be brave enough to push my Janome back to get to know this one, it is just too easy to use the one I know.

I have a 1260. I bought it new, so its maybe 12 years old. Maybe 15. I love it. I would not give it up for anything. Now I just use it for piecing and I have used it for FMQ in the past. I used to sew for my kids, so I did use it for a lot of other types of projects at one point.

I can not touch it for months at a time and it sews perfectly when I turn it on. It tolerates any thread and gives me a consistently beautiful stitch. I keep eyeing some of the new machines out there but cannot imagine loving one as much as the one I have.

that is nice to hear :) I just have to get brave enough and clear out a space big enough and take time to get to know it.

I think it pretty much came with everything, it is just intimating b/c I'm not familiar with it.

I have a Bernina 1260 that I bought brand new back in 1991 and simply love the machine. Yes it was a expensive machine. I've used my bernina a lot and now that I don't work outside of the home, it's used on a weekly basis.

Once you try it, you'll love it.

Hi, I have a bernina 1260 . But it broke down.When it works, many small red lights on at the same time,and the small grey buttons don't work.I am so sad.Who can help me ?

I've had one for over 15 hrs and I love it! A grate workhouse, and the knee lift is priceless. I don't use a lot of the fancy stitches. The tension is always perfect and I FMQs like a dream!

This sounds like something may be wrong within the computerized part of the machine and I think probably the best thing to do is to take it to an authorized Bernina dealer to see if they have someone who could take a look at it for you.

Perhaps someone else here on the board would have an answer as to how to take care of the problem on your own.

Surely hope it get it to working again, as they sure are a great machine.

Thank you for replying me.But there isn't authorized Bernina dealer in my city.I bought it on line . I will be so frustrated if the computerized part is broken.
