Bernina Deco 600 decision

I have a chance to buy a working Bernina Deco 600 embroidery machine with 3 hoops & the book for $125. Is that a good price? Also, input on the Deco 600. Thanks

Any working Bernina for $125 is a great buy! On Ebay one is listed for $375.

I have owned a Bernina Deco 500 and the 650. The one thing you need to look at is how you will be getting designs into the machine. As it is sold it will only use embroidery cards that fit into the machine that have the PES as their format. It does have some built-in designs and alphabet. To use designs that come on CDs or you download from the computer will require a reader/writer box and card. Check with the person that is selling the machine to see what they are using for this function. Loved my Deco machines but wanted more hoop space so I kept trading up to the TOL over the years. The price makes it worth checking out. One reader/writer is made by Vikant and you can look up information on their website.

I have both the Deco 600 and 650. I love the designs on both but have to admit, I'm partial to the designs on the 600. They are some of the best stitch outs I have ever seen on an embroidery machine. I paid $300 and $350 for mine so $125 is an excellent price.

The embroidery area is limited but we use these machines in my classroom and don't need a big hoop. I've had several Brother embroidery machines so I have a few cards that I use but if you need more designs, get the PED Basic. It's about $100 and allows you to copy your designs onto a card from your computer.

I've actually had 4 of these machines. I have 2 in my classroom, one I sold to a co-worker, and one required a repair that cost more than I paid for the machine so I didn't have it fixed. I bought all 4 used over 5 years ago and the other 3 are still going strong. They are really good machines. I need to buy another one but just found out I'm being gifted one for my classroom so color me super happy! You can PM me if you have any questions.

Wish I could help, but I've only had Janomes. Sorry, but it sounds like a good deal!
