If you are dead set against PP a New york beauty then I vote for your "delectable mountains" sunrise (the second picture) But I really think a NYB expanding across the sky portion of your quilt would be show-stopping gorgeous! I really like this one...or if you wanted to go simple, you could just do horizontal diamonds blended together in sunrise tones.
