I just like this one because it has some good qualities. It is portable and good for arthritic hands . Small enough to take to class or for your trips. Heats up as good as my larger one and presses my blocks and small pieces, triangles very very well. It has a good shape to fit in little areas.

I have a full sizeRowenta that stays home due to not being convenient to carry around.

I had a full size Rowenta that was the worst piece of junk I ever had. Not only was it clunky and inconvenient, but it didn't last a year before it burnt out. I threw it away and bought Sunbeam and it's been the best iron I ever had - and lots cheaper, too.

I don't intend to invest any more money in Rowenta products.

I also prefer to use a light weight iron instead of a heavy one. My General Electric Light N Easy steam iron is still going strong and I love it. Bought a new iron to replace it but couldn't tell you where it is now because it just didn't feel comfortable for me to use so I went back to the Light N Easy.

Yes, I agree. I have had good luck with cheapie irons. Have had the same one now for over 3 yrs and I think I paid 7.00 dollars fot it at Big Lots.
It heats up fast, has good steam and no auto shut off. I hate to go and sew a few pieces and come back to find my iron shut off. I have my iron in my laundry room, whenever I turn it on, I always make sure and turn on the overhead light in laundry room. This is my signal that my iron is plugged in and turned on. Since I'm a stickler for turning off lights in rooms not occupied. I know when that light is on that I need to go back in and turn off my iron. Works for me.

I guess I'm different. I love my Rowenta iron. It is heavy and gets real hot and does not have an auto shut off. I think it does a great job with pressing. I bought this thing about 6 years ago and it was over $100.00 except I had a 40% coupon at JoAnns and they actually let me use it toward the iron. My only problem is my kids have dropped it several times and now even though it still works good, the bottom is held together with clear Duct tape.
