Hi All,

I am wondering where the best place to buy empty bobbins. I need Class 15 and 66 bobbins in metal and was wanting to buy in big lots of them. This is for my personal use and I was wanting to go somewhere other than eBay since I shut my Paypal down (tired of it being hacked and my bank account being emptied every few months).

I looked at the typical Hancock Fabrics and Joanns and they didnt offer lots of 25, or 50. Although if I wanted to buy in pks of 4 they had me covered.

Thank you for helping me out

Billy

I tried the prewound bobbins and my machine doesn't like them. I bought something like 50 of them and ended up tossing all of them in the trash

I just need the plain old empty bobbins, I have plenty of thread and pre wound are usually plastic and I refuse to put any plastic around my machines!

I bet Hancocks or Hobby Lobby would have them.

I Googled and found this place: 50 Class 15 metal bobbins are $15 (don't know about shipping costs):

My bet is that jhittle would have the bobbins you want in large quantities for a good price. They are hard to search online, though. Try calling them at 1-877-805-2616

I buy them through the mail from:

Newark Dressmaker Supply
Division of Home-Sew Inc.
P.O. Box 4099
Bethlehem, PA 18018-0099

P.S. Somebody wanted Singer Featherweight Bobbins.

This (above) is where I get mine.

Thank you for all of the different place to look for them. I looked at Sewing Parts Online and thew were a good deal but the Class 66 was a bit pricey. I am going to look at the other two spots just to see what kind of deal they have.

But 50 for $15 is not bad at all.

Thank you Melissa!!

After tooling around the site I am getting an order together right now. The bobbin cases for the 306w that are the open ones are the hardest for me to find and I usually have to cut the regular ones up to make them work with the hooks. I am going to see how many he has and see if I can get them all if I can get the lot priced right.

As far as bobbins go I am good for now but you know just like I do you can not have too many bobbins! I will have to include some in the order also.

I noticed, if its a sewing machine chances are he has something for it! This is a supplier I will be using regularly I can see that.

Thank you again!

Here are a couple of more sites that I like about treadles, some have parts too. I am sure I have more saved in my bookmarks if you are interested. But then you might have already seen these!

i bought pre-wound Class 15 bobbins from this site:

http://www.terradonembroidery.com/clear_quilt_15.htm

they sell both polyester and 100% cotton

having plowed through several tubes of each i feel safe vouching for them.

they use normal bobbins, which means they can be used again and again for very close to the price of empty bobbins plus [reasonably priced] thread.
