You've really got my curiosity up, now.

I can't picture how it would be used. Please explain.
There is a plexi ruler called "Binding Buddy". I love it, but wish it would come in 2 1/4" and maybe some other sizes for cutting strips, not just for bindings. |

The only Binding Buddy I'd ever heard of was this one:
http://quiltinaday.com/shoponline/no...ay.asp?i=13513 I use a heavy roll of packing tape. Stick the end under the tape to hold it in place, iron the length of the ironing board, turn the roll of tape like a spool to take up the pressed binding, iron again, etc. Heavy enough to keep the binding sitting on your sewing cabinet, just unwind a few feet at a time. :) |

Yeah, I tried that one one time. It kept trying to grab my blouse as it unwound, getting the blouse wound around it with the binding.
I went back to my packing tape. Easy and no hassles and nearly everyone has a roll of packing tape around, so it's free. |
I think I know what you're talking about. After I make my binding, I wrap it around a hanger (the wire kind with the wood bar at the bottom that pops out) and hang it on a doorknob and use that as I do my bindings.

Never heard of it but it really sounds interesting. Can't wait for a picture and what is it used for?

I use an empty paper towel roll. Wrap the binding around it, set it in my lap and let it unroll as I sew. Would like to see the pool noodle one too.

I use something similar to Gaga...I make mine, press it, then roll onto an empty TP roll. When I'm ready to sew on, I pop it on the extra spool pin and let it feed off of that. It doesn't tangle, twist drop, or fall victim to a playful cat while I'm sewing. I've got a collection on a peg board made out of fabric I saw (mostly stripes of some sort) that I thought would make a good binding when I bought it.
