Here are the two quilts I just finished for my 11 y.o. twin grandkids, Owen & Alahna. These are my first two large quilts. I am just a novice and I am proud of these, mistakes and all! LOL

They are both beautiful & you should be proud! Who cares about "mistakes" - it is the overall finished quilt that will matter to those 2 kids.

Thank you everyone! You have really encouraged this novice quilter!
Those are wonderful. You're doing super for a novice.
They look really great to me!! Bet the grandkids won't notice if there are a few "artistic liberties" somewhere.
Keep up the good work, you have alot of natural talent!
Lucky grandkids! Those are terrific quilts.
Your grandkids are going to love them! Lovely colors and patterns.
Thank you all so much. I really love quilting. I used to be a cross stitcher when I lived in NJ. I got involved in quilting here in Maine because there are so many others doing it and loving it.
There is an LQS in town with the lovliest lady/owner who has all kinds of wonderful ideas and can help in so many ways. She has been a big encouragement to me also. MAINLY THOUGH, I have learned so much from this board! It has been like going to a special quilting college! Also I now have quite a library of tutorials online and patterns because you people all share so wonderfully. KUDOS to you all! |
Beautiful, your grandkids will love them.

They are beautiful. Great job. I love the colors for the flower quilt.
You do beautiful work for a novice, and I love your quilts ! Your quilts looks like they are made by an accomplished quilter, and you absolutely should be proud.
I wish my first two quilts as a beginner were that beautiful!!! Congrats on doing them...and here's hoping the red KoolAid stays away from them both. (I speak from experience here; one of my grandsons has green Sharpie, red KoolAid and some mysterious bright blue stain on one of his quilts. Fortunately, it was a quickie and not one like you made!)
Beautiful job on both of them, you should be proud!
If you're a novice, then i'm chopped liver.
Great quilts!
You should be proud - they both turned out beautifully! Love the colors.
Both beautiful. They are not going to look to see if any points are blunted. They are going to think of the love from you. Diane C.
Oh wow! These are gorgeous!
