Does anyone have a pattern for a banner or quilt for a "Blue Star Mom"? I'm going to be one come September 2010 and my son is after me to be sure and get my banner in the window. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks! |

omak and MimiSharon have/had them as their avatars
You might try PM'ing them and see if they know where you can get a pattern |
This is a great site, with info about the banner. Just in case you have not seen it.

McCall's Quilting magazine from October 2005 has a pattern for a throw quilt and a wall/window banner. The pattern is designed by Julie Bragg.
I bought the mag off of eBay. I made the throw. It's a quick pattern. The red border is just patchwork squares. The white background is in strips. And, the blue star is applique. The window banner is 8" x 14" and the quilt is 52 1/2" x 56 1/2". I have a durable, but kind of unpleasing, synthetic banner for my window. Bought it for a few bucks from a flag store. Can also be found on eBay. One of these days, I'll make the wall banner. |
if you want to try it without a pattern, i can send you the pattern for a 5-pointed star. the frame shouldn't be too hard. if you want it, pm me before the 7th.
