Bobbin case fell apart
 

Has anyone ever had their bobbin case come apart on the 18X8 mega quilter? Can it be put back together, if so how. Or, do I have to order a new one? Thanks.

How do you mean 'come apart'? did the spring just come out, or did the whole thing fall apart?
If the spring just came out, it will go back in with a bit of fiddling. It only goes in one way. There are 2 prongs on opposite edges of the spring, one set is a bit wider apart than the other. It will only go back in the case one way.
I got a couple extra on ebay (look up bobbin case for tin lizzie). They were under $10 and work just fine. My dealer wanted $25 each.

Thanks PaperPrincess. It is more than the spring. The lever that you hold while inserting the case into the machine also came off. Are you saying that a bobbin case for the "Tin Lizzie" will work in the 18X8 Mega Quilter?

Yes, the Viking 18X8 mega quilter is made by Tin Lizzie. It's the same as the Tin Lizzie LS18 model. The only difference is the stickers. Viking paired this with a frame not supplied by TL.
