Bobbin Winder
 

I have a bobbin winder that came with my APQS machine that I am not 100% happy with because it winds the bobbins uneven. I have the opportunity to buy a bobbin winder from someone who said she bought it new at AllBrands.com. It is model #BW110A. I looked this up on the internet but it is really hard to really see it as the picture shows it far away. Does anyone have this bobbin winder and know if it is a good quality one? It is $79.99 on the internet and I have the opportunity to buy it for $50+ the shipping cost for her to ship it to me. Anyone know anything about this bobbin winder?

I do not know about this winder! I have winders from fancyquilt, the k-winders. I love them!!!!

I have 2 sidewinders and I love them.

I can't tell by the photo, but I have one that looks similar to this one. The one I have is a bobbin winder from a commercial machine mounted on a board with a motor and a thread stand that looks like the one in the picture. That one looks like it might be an upgrade of the one I have.

The one I have don't wind evenly either, but at least I am standing there watching it and can sort of "help" it wind even by putting my finger on the side of the thread and moving it slightly as it winds. I usually wind enough bobbins for a whole quilt at one time.

Aborning-I bought the one that comes with a gammill and have been very happy with it. The one that came with my innova doesn't wind evenly either s that's what I did and have been happy with the gammill one.

Sidewinder is the way to go!. It's fairly inexpensive. I've had the same one for about 4 years and will buy another when this one dies!

Before buying a sidewinder double check to make sure your bobbin works in it, I can't use if for my Sapphire or Lily Husqvarnas.

I have an inexpensive Sidewinder and I love it.

I don't think Sidewinder makes bobbin winders for size M bobbins, and that's what most longarms use.

The bobbin winder that came with my Innova works great. I think they have provided different types of winders at different times, due to availability. I do have to make sure it's lined up correctly to wind the bobbin evenly, and it's a pain to re-thread it so I pull the new thread in by tying it to the previous thread. I also have to use a thread net on the spool if I'm loading poly thread on the bobbins, and if I go really fast the thread net flies off and there's a mess.

The large sidewinder that is 100 bucks at Jo-anns does all sizes as it is adjustable. Works great and I got mine on 50% off which was an even better deal!
