Bonnet Girls - Quilt Progress
Hello all, Have been setting the bonnet girl blocks together today. Started about 1pm and stopped about 20 minutes for supper...Hubby grilled, so I didn't have to cook, he knew that I wanted to work on my quilt...Isn't that sweet? Just stopped again for about a 15 minute break. I have 4 of the 5 rows set together. Getting ready to set row 5 together, and then sew it on the quilt..Then, hoping tomorrow to decide on what to do for the outside edges all around. Keeping thinking about scalloped edges, but not sure how that would work for my quilt lady...I'll keep you posted on my progress tomorrow..Happy Sewing. :)

I have been following along with your quilt ladies. I would do the scalloped borders. i think scalloped borders would be very appropriate for the quilt.

I think scalloped edges would make it look beautiful and well old fashioned if you will. Let us know what you decide.

I agree, the scalloped edge would probably look best, but haven't done but one of these before and it was years ago...Not sure how my quilt lady would handle a scalloped edge on her quilting machine...Would there be problems?...

Am eager to see it I, know it will be beautiful.

I think scalloped borders would be nice too. It is easier to quilt your quilt and then draw the scallops on, attach the binding and then cut the scallops. There are some good videos on the net.
