I was wondering if anyone knows of a website where I could purchase a pattern for a bookbag. You know, the kind that kids have to carry their stuff in to school. My DGD wants her Gramma to make her one before the new school year starts and I need some help. Can anyone give me help.

Try using the search function at the top of the page :D:D:D
There have been a number of patterns listed in links for these

There are lots of ideas on this page. A regular backpack clear down almost to the bottom. Hope this helps.

Check Allpeoplequilt.com for the messenger bag. There are 2 sizes---you want the regular one. It is free and is what the kids use now.

When my boys were still young, I needed to make book bags for school but didn't have money for patterns or notions. I took their old book bags apart, used the old fabric pieces as pattern pieces for new bags, then cleaned up the plastic parts to use in the new bag. No one knew that they were home-made. That would still work today, only we call it "repurposed" and "handmade."
