Looking for directions to miter a border, it is 7" and I want to sew the corners like making a frame, any ideas?

Sew on the border to each corner, leave a lot of extra fabric, lay it out flat on a table and mark your sewing line straight from the corner of the quilt. It's not easy, but it looks fabulous.

I overlap the borders at the corner, fold and press it into a precise miter then glue down the crease line. I cut the excess and then sew right on the crease line. Usually I find it's easier to hand stitch the miter then trying to get a big corner under the machine.
