I bought the Ellisimo and I'm having fun with it. I'm finishing a table runner and will post photos when it's done.
Can't wait to try the embroidery - the reason I decided to get a new machine in the first place. :) |
Congrats! Enjoy!!
Ohhh I'm envious. Have fun
Awesome! I have an Ellisimo and it is absolutely the best! I attended the unveiling of the new Janome 12000 yesterday and although it is nice, it can't compete with my Bella!
Congrats! Have sew much fun!

Congratulations on your new Ellisimo. I used one of these machines in an Eleanor Burns class. What a great machine. Did you get the circle attachment? We had great fun with that attachment.
A friend of mine has both a Husqvarna Viking, and the Babylock Ellisimo. She says she prefers the embroidery on the Ellisimo. Oh, and the camera feature...to die for!!! |
I'm happy to hear about her liking the emb on the E. I spent about 3 months looking at all the brands before finally deciding.
I didn't get the circular foot = what fun project did you do with it?

Good for you! Hope you enjoy it for many years to come!!

great happy for you! I have a new ellegante 2, I had a esante babylock. I love mine too! I really like being able to go to the store and asking questions - learn new things - plus they have always worked on my older machine.
They do a great job. sewing and embroidery |

The other project was the pillow. Notice the tulip stitching on the background. Our instructor created a file of allover stitching using one of the Ellisimo decorative stitches. On the screen you load one of the decorative stitches, load it again next to the first row, and again, until you have the width you need. Then hoop your fabric and stitch away. You create a one of a kind fabric! If I could justify another machine, without a doubt I would buy the Ellisimo!!! Love that machine. Janet - thank you for the description and the photos. Really pretty projects. It looks like it was a great class. Was the class at her store or was she traveling to your area?

Very good choice!
Congrats !! I'm ssssoooo jealous LOL
What an awesome machine. Enjoy your new baby !! |
Enjoy!
I have the Ellisimo and had a Bernina 730. The Ellisimo is so intuitive! Bernina, however, is a superb machine and I love them for different reasons.
enjoy
How difficult would it be to quilt a quilt with this machine? I see it does beautiful stitches for smaller pieces.
Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy! |
Good choice and congratulations with your new "Baby"! I have had mine for only about a couple of months and I just love it! I also have a Pfaff 2140 upgraded to a 2170 Embroidery machine, and the Ellisimo is so much easier to use! Wouldn't trade it for anything! I have the circular attachment, but haven't tried it out yet! I've been working on 2 quilts for my grandsons. Need to put them aside and play with the embroidery machine! Guess there will be lots of time for that, I hope anyway!

I AM SO JEALOUS! Been going back and forth in my mind about upgrading from my Ellegante to the Ellisimo. I just need a very good price for my Ellegante, and to get the Ellisimo. Haven't found one yet. My machine has only 87000 stitches so I am thinking it is still too new for me to trade up. But I sure am jealous!
Congrats on your new baby- It is such fun to get a new toy. Be sure to show us what you make with it!
Beautiful runner and pillow.
Congrats and have fun.

Karen This event was so much fun so I am hoping they repeat it again in 2012, but when I saw Eleanor at the quilt show she told me she doesn't think they will. Dealerships sponsor these events to sell their machines, so the sales have to be high enough to cover the cost of hosting these events. If ever you have a chance to meet her, or take one of her classes, please do. She is a wonderful sweet woman. edit: She also has a store in Paducah Kentucky, and spends her time there as well. |
I love my Ellisimo. I have had it about a year and like it more each time I use it. And I use it all the time. Good choice!
i have to admit this is a new one for me. Who makes this elisimo??? I have a janome 6600 and love it. Wasn't impressed with the Janome 7000 last year so i doubt i will like the newest one. Probably just bigger and more expensive.
Nice! You will have a ball!
Congratulations! Now let's see some of your new projects made with your new treasure.
Made by Baby Lock. Check it out. They make terrific machines...
I did and they look really nice. How is the price range compared to Janome.
I paid 5,999 for my Ellisimo....last year...I don't have any idea how much Janome. Is...I made my decision on the machines features and ease of use but most importantly, dealer reputation and support.
New machines are so much fun to explore...congratulations on your new baby!

I AM JEALOUS!!!!!!! You will love it, is my dream machine....but really and truly can't justify it as I have the Symphony and an Elegante 2 and couldn't give up either....sew on the Symphony and embroider at the same time on the Elegante. I have seen the Ellisimo in action and it wowed me! You will love it, love it, love it!! I love my Babylocks! Bev |
Have fun with your new machine-hoping to see some of your embroidery soon.
