Well, I made a major mistake. I did not understand the directions. ( I am a visual learner) So after reading very encouraging words on this board, I decided to just get started one step at a time. Well I put the outside fabric and fusible fleece and lining fabric together like a sandwhich and quilt as desired, was just about to trim them down to their size and then wondered just how does this actually go together? After rereading the directions again I finally figured out that I should have quilted the outside fabric with one layer of batting and the the lining with the batting separately. NOW WHAT????
Any suggestions????
I believe I will need to sleep on this before trying to figure out a solution to this mess!!!!

You are either going to have to pick out your stitches or you are going to have all of your seams are going to show on the inside. Maybe someone else has an easier solution, but that is the only thing I can think of! Sorry! :0(

Is there a reason you couldn't add another liner? No one will see the first one. I'm not familiar with this particular pattern but I would think they are all similar to a certain degree. Another liner slipped down inside and binding all around the top--no one will ever know about the first lining gone wrong.

My suggestion would be to make another lining. Treat what you have done as one piece of quilted fabric. Depending on the batting you used and how heavy it is you might want to just use interfacing on the new lining. Good luck. The first ones are always learners.

I agree, just make another lining....no one will ever be the wiser.

See, I knew someone would have a better idea than me! I tend to not think of some of the obvious answers!

That is a good suggestion, this was a kit so not enough fabric from the kit, but I'm sure I have something in my stash that will work for the lining. Thank you.
Don't ya just love this board !!!!
