Saturday I stopped at the quilt shop and spied a beautiful piece of fabric depicting birds. So I bought some thinking I had enough for a queen size quilt. Well, today I was going to put it together and discovered I had six panels that was to be used for just that --panels. So I studied, and studied it and began to cut it apart and sew together to make a quilt top. Not finished yet, but decided I could make it work. Will put two panels side by side and hopefully pick up some blue fabric to kinda of match the blue in the panels and use for a border and then add some maroon for another border on the outside. What do you all think?

P.S. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I cannot get pictures to attach.

I really want to see a pic! :)
If you click on "preview" before you post; the pictures will disappear.
Try "Add a new attachment"

whinnytoo 04-04-2011 06:10 PM

keep trying please, I really want to see.

Iamquilter 04-04-2011 06:45 PM

When I try to post a picture I right click on Browse and then right click on the picture and when I do that the
cursor disappears from the browse box and it won't attach.
I've left click on the picture and that don't work either. I've clicked on Add an attachment and that doesn't work either. So frustrating.

Just add the picture and do not hit browse or it will disappear.

Iamquilter, to attach a picture left click on browse, then left double click on your picture. The file name of your picture will automatically be inserted into the file attachment box. Then just click on send. Your picture will then be visible in your post on the page where your message is. Does this make sense?

dream56 04-05-2011 05:03 AM

Ignore my comment above I meant - Do Not hit preview or it will disappear.

Iamquilter 04-05-2011 05:07 AM

Did it work this time

Iamquilter 04-05-2011 05:17 AM

Tried that and it still doesn't work

dream56 04-05-2011 05:20 AM

When adding your picture.
Are you going in through reply or quote reply?
There you will see a file attachment section - hit the browse key and find the file you want to add click on that file and you will see the link added into the grey section. You can also add a description if you want then hit send Do Not Hit Preview or it will erase.

Try again You can do it.

I think it worked this time.

I got the six panels sewed together, had to pin everything so I would keep the border of the leaves in the right place.

It did indeed work - Love the quilt I think it looks great.

Glad you were able to post that picture.

joyce blint 04-05-2011 01:08 PM

Can you figure out the maker and try to find the coordinates on-line? Sometimes the selvage will tell you.

sandyo 04-05-2011 02:47 PM

were are you in minnesota. I bought it at SR harris fabric outlet in Minneapolis.

Iamquilter 04-05-2011 03:59 PM

I'm in St. Cloud. Is that SR Harris store still in Mpls. Years ago I purchased tricot there and still have some of it.

sandyo 04-05-2011 04:34 PM

It is off 169 near Brooklyn Park. Close to the Fleet Farm. Have relatives close by so we get there occasionally. Have relatives in St. Cloud also, do you know any Schmitts?

Iamquilter 04-05-2011 05:00 PM

Yes, tow different families. Jessica and another Wayne

sandyo 04-06-2011 03:38 AM

Nope not the right ones. Good luck on your quilt.

Tinabodina 04-06-2011 03:44 AM

I don't think I would add the coordinating blue fabric. I love the colors that are there.
