I have been sewing all morning trying to finish gifts that have to be mailed this week. With less than one sq. foot to go on FM on a lap quilt for my mom, my machine quit. Ok, so I figure I just over heated it. It was lunchtime anyway so I left it.
I came back to it about an hour later, only to discover that it hadn't over heated, but the quilt had knocked the cord such that it wasn't plugged in all the way!!!! So.....I have now finished the centre, just the border left to quilt, then get the binding on. Silly me!!!!! LOL Patti |
LOL that outcome was much better than what you initially thought :D:D:D

I love it when other people are as goofy as I am!! At least your machine is happy and healthy again.

Luckly that's all it was!!!! I'm glad you are almost done.
I too am almost finished, just have 1 75 x 80 quilt to bind and make some stocking and I'm done!!!! Yeah Have a great holiday! |

A good chuckle is always good for the soul. And no cost "repairs" are great

As you said - it was lunchtime. Maybe all you needed was a break.

How lucky. The last time I took my machine was right before Christmas and between paying to get it fixed and all the lost time I was in a panic. I usually take it in in the spring for a tune-up but I didn't think it needed one. Now I am back to my tune-up in the spring. At the time I only had 1 machine. Now I have 3 but still have separation anxiety when my baby has it's tune-up.

I am glad to know there are others just like me!!! I was putting a new cable box in DD's room and couldn't figure out why it didn't light up after I hooked up the cables. Who would have thought that it needed the outlet cord hooked up and plugged in to the outlet to make it work??? LOL!!
