Hi all,

Well I have been researching all the great info you shared and I have one more question to ask before I decide on a travel sewing machine.

Does anyone out there have a Brother CS6000I? I have no experience with Brother machines. I have had Singer, Kenmore and now Bernina.

For the price you are getting alot of bang for your buck, the reviews I have read have been good only a few complaints. Mostly due to operator error I think.

Thanks so much for your help.

Have a geat day,
DeniseB

I have this machine along with a couple of Singers and I highly prefer the Brother. In my opinion Singers have gone downhill. I won't own another Singer.

The Brother is a great machine, it has never given me any problems!

I just got one for a spare since my singer is getting serviced. I'm really not happy with it at all. Its like driving a tractor once you've had a mercedes! I've had other Brother machines, the 6080 which was very nice but the motor went out that winds the bobbins. Overall...not to happy with Brother!

I used one for several years. It worked fine for me. I also have a variety of old singers (the all metal ones). I liked the tension on the CS6000I, it was better than my Bernina and easier than the old singers. The stitch is nice too. I gave it to my best friend who likes to make quilt tops but she is nearly blind. This was my choice of all my machines to give her for ease of use. I also bought a new CS6000I for my niece. I think it's a good machine, simple to use, super price and mine came with lots of extra goodies. :-)

I have that machine and LOVE it  I have several Brother machines and seem to have good luck with them. I think the needle up and down feature and mine also came with a lot of "extras", the walking foot and guide (?), zipper foot, blind stitch foot, free motion quilt foot , the large flat bed for quilting.

I also have the machine and love it. There are 6 in our quilt group who have the CS6000I and are very happy with it also. If you can't afford an expensive machine then this is the one for you. Well worth the price I would recommend it to anyone.

I have this machine and have been really happy with it. I FMQ all my quilts on it. (I have a Bernina 730 w/ the /bsr but I learned on this little machine and can't help myself)

I talked my mom into this machine--not a lot of money but a good, basic machine. That way, if she didn't want to continue quilting, she could still make curtains and wasn't out alot of money.

I also have this machine and a Janome. I can't FMQ on my Janome but I can on my Brother. The bed that comes with it is great!
