My DGG (14 yrs old) is entered her first quilt in a local contest and can't decide if she wants to add the butterfly buttons. Need another opinion. Thanks for your suggestions. The fabric pattern is stripes and butterflies.

I vote for the Butterfly:)

I think they would be cute. Go for it!
It's a beautiful quilt and well done. |
Yes! Very nice quilt and the buttons are a great finishing touch.
Yes, put the butterfly buttons on. She has done
a wonderful job on this quilt and I hope she wins. |
Wonderful job
Yes, the butterfly buttons are adorable.
I don't see why not. i just dug in my cabinet and noticed I have snowflake buttons, fall leaves and tiny gingerbread men buttons i must do something with.
Add the butterflies! I did a jar quilt once with bug fab. Didn't worry so much about placement of bug buttons...just sewed where the dropped. She made such a cute quilt. Job well done. Does she have a fab stash yet? Oh...maybe worm buttons too?
YES
Yes, add the butterfly buttons. She also did a great job on the quilt! :)
Good luck to the granddaughter!
Yes.
Add the buttons
If this is considered a "to be used by a person" quilt - I would say "no" to the butterflies.
If it is a "wall quilt" - then I would say "yes" to the butterfly buttons. |

Butterflies are cute!
If this is for someone over 5 years in age, the buttons will add a nice touch of flair!

Love the quilt and the butterflies are cute but not if its for a small child.
She is entering it in a show, so I would say sew them on for now, and if they get to be a problem later if used, they can be removed. Generally, I don't care for butterflies, but these are actually kind of cute, and match the fabric. They could be sprinkled all over, on the sashing, etc.
Cool! Hope she wins! add the butterflies! Don't forget the hanging sleeve and label for the back of the quilt.

First of all what a great job by your grand daughter - sure hope she places in show!! She deserves it - she must have had a great teacher lol
Go for the buttons or even applique some butterflies randomly throughout the quilt - if there is enough time I would be happy to cut butterflies with my go machine if you send fabric!!! Whatever she chooses will be great - Please keep us posted thanks cheryl :-D |
I like the quilt--yes to buttons.
I would add the butterfly - it's cute and something unique. Besides, I love butterflies.
I vote for the buttons. Nice touch!
I love the butterfly, I think it would just make the quilt, in my opion. Beautiful quilt. Good job.
I love the butterfly buttons. By all means tell your grandaughter to use them on the quilt, and tell her she did a great job. I love to see kids interested in making quilts. Cheers to your gd.
With butterflies!
