I've had a Handiquilter Avante since September and love it.

I'd never heard of Bailey before. I just checked out their website.
That's a pretty cost effective price.

MTS - just remember that the Bailey is a no frills, basic machine. Baileys do have a big following though :)

Understood. But that's a doable price-point to get rid of the pile of quilts staring at me. I've got a cadre of professional long-armers who do the quilts that are really important to me.

I hear you on that. I wasn't - and still not - planning to do other people's quilts but wanted a way to do the big ones I wanted to make. I've got a stack of tops waiting... waiting... waiting.... I still need to make friends with the machine though. Time and courage has not been my friends.
