I used to have so much trouble "guessing" how much fabric to buy. Thought this link might help some people out.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing! This is a simple way for those of us who are math challenged to get the answers we're looking for. I will be using it ALOT.

If you have an iphone, there is also an app called QuiltFab that you can load onto it and it tells you how much fabric to buy. Very convenient, I have used it lots since I got it.

Thank you for the link and the iphone app too :D :D :D

THANKS ! and my sons will thank you if I remember to use it before I buy fabric for my quilts ! Miscalculation is how I have acquired a HUGE stash

What a cool tool. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. I've gained so much information from this board that I wanted to share what little information I have with you all :).
|
Thank you so much! As a new quilter with only 3 projects under my belt, I already have a "stash" of leftover fabric, so this calculator is wonderful!
|
People buy fabric AFTER they know what they are going to do????
|
why would you want to know how much you need? just buy more than you think you need.
don't you love surprises? |
One of a friend of mines inlaws gave me this when she found out I was a quilter. I haven't used it yet but it comes with a big ol how to book.
