I have saved a picture of this beautiful quilt hoping to make one similar. Need a tut to get started if the "maker" can direct me to a pattern!

I'm sorry I can't help but do remember seeing this quilt.

That's a very nice quilt. Love the pattern. Hope you find the individual who made it.

It looks like the cover quilt on 'Take Two and Add A Few'
by Atkinson Designs. The pattern is called Birthday Presents.

Can't help with the name but I really like it.

See, I knew it looked like wrapped gifts...LOL. It seems to be out of stock at amazon, but here is a link that says they have it available http://shop.someartfabric.com/product.sc?productId=3168

I put boxes around the sections that would be first sewn together, and then sewn to create the block? Does it make sense? I am not the maker, but that is how I would go about creating the block...

MellieK, That is how I would construct the blocks as well. The center looks like a "skinny" 9 patch block (I'm sure there is a better name for it).

Cheers, K

When you save someone else's photo to your PC, include the maker's name in your file name. Problem solved and credit given to the maker.
