I do different patterns and love working on 'Sylvia's Bridal Sampler' from Jennifer Chiaverini. I do have the materials to do an Ohio Star. I made it last year in red and white and loved it. Now have fabrics to make it in red and gold. Hope it is as much fun as the first.

I'm all over the place and don't like doing many patterns twice. Except log cabin and 9 patches.

You have my admiration! ! ! One of those was enough for me. Do you piece them or appliqué or....?

There are so many variations of it and all look different using the same block. I have 2 different ones going now. I also love a variety of patterns and like to try something new all of the time. Hence, I have so many UFO's and projects going. What about you? Do you have one special pattern that you like to make? Or do you think variety is the spice of life?

I love variety. I have several things going now that are all different. A fusible block quilt, fabric covered clothesline bowls, Maple leaf mug rugs, and an art quilt. You should see my sewing room. I am not very good at keeping it in order, but I know where everything I am working on is placed. Well, not always.

Ohio Star! Don't live in Ohio but just love the way you can change up the fabrics and triangles for different looks, yet it's fairly easy.

I'm not sure I have a favorite, but if I need a quick project I really enjoy whipping up strip quilts. I make a lot of baby quilts, table runners, etc with scrappy strips. I also like anything raw edge applique.

For my seasonal table runners I tend to use a disappearing nine patch. They never turn out the same.

Warm wishes is my "go-to" pattern. It's easy to adapt to ages and tastes.

I like one block wonders. The first one hooked me and I have made at least 8 of them. All different. Favorite one is called Fall Garden Folly. It was made with fabric that my BFF said would not work for a OBW, out of a pattern that was "too busy" and a pattern repeat that was "too small." It is beautiful and looks like a Persian rug. So glad I tried anyway.

Pinwheels......I recently finished 3 twin size for my GDs.And even tho they are all the same color scheme they are 3 totally different quilts. Later on when they are older and not little busy pinwheels themselves they can choose their own fabrics and patterns and help with the 'building' of their own quilts. Erin is the youngest and every thing is 'built' . -and according to her Gramma 'builds' better cakes than Mom : )
