Flying geese, stars, log cabin - um, no. I can NOT name just one!

I always have leaders and enders ready to go through the machine with no specific pattern in mind.

I love log cabin and love to make them.

It's surprising to see how many said the log cabin. That is the one I have made the most of. I have a really cute log cabin baby quilt pattern I have made 4 times and still love it.

I love to make sampler quilts. I really like the different blocks and everyone quilt and block is different.

I have made several patterns more than once. I can't think of the names right now. I have made about 6 log cabins and variations of it. I am doing my second Illusion quilt, using just two fabrics. Very good pattern to use up some of the large fabric cuts I have. It's easier to find fabrics in my stash by using two that go together. I tend to buy what I like and pay no attention to if they will go with anything else. Of course I have many I want to make.

Love pinwheels, and variations of them.

At the moment I am doing lots of charity quilts, and have discovered Missouri Stars "Double slice Layer Cake". It goes so fast, and every one looks different. I was getting teased about "Layer Cake Collection", so am now using them up for Sandy relief. I think I have done about a half dozen of these so far.

Just found this pattern also and made a quick "reading quilt", backed in Minky, for our four year old grand daughter's birthday. She loves Berenstain Bears, so used that layer cake, but only the "girlie" half. She is due to have a brother in February so will save the "boy" squares for a reading quilt for him some day. The label reads, "Emilia, Snuggle up and read. Love, Nana 2012
It was very quick and easy. Finished it measures about 35" x 45", using 20 of the layer squares.
