I have several old holiday cards I would love transfered to fabric. And if it is transfered does it make durable prints for anything that might need to be washed or is it only good for things like wall hangings etc as the print is on the top vs woven into the fabric? AND last if you have the ability to do this how much would this cost per panel? Thanks, I know there is software but by the time I figure that out, buy all that is needed it might be easier to simply mail the card to the person who has it all down pat. (this would not be me, sigh)

I made a wall hanging for hubby with pictures of a beloved dog we used to have. This was few years ago, and I do not know if I would wash it. I have heard that the printable fabric has improved and that they can be washed. I know several people here have done some, and hopefully they will see this post and be able to answer your question.

Hi, You don't need software. The fabric sheets now come pre-treated and pre-cut to fit through a standard inkjet printer. The package will have instructions on washing.

Hi , I bought a pack of June Tailor colorfast sew - in inkjet fabric sheets [ 3 in a pack ]. If you have a scanner , scan your card , pick the image and print on the fabric . It's easy Just follow the directions on the pkg .. I'm not that computer savvy and I did it . Mine came out great ! Good luck Annie

Thank you! I thought it was going to be so much harder than that. I saw those story book pages here on someones quilt and it got me thinking.. does anyone know however if they wash well? I maybe will make wall hangings just to be safe.

if you use the cjenkins products they will be machine washable. you may lose 1% of the vibrancy (about 1 shade) (depends a lot on the printer and type of ink it uses) the first time but nothing more after that.

Yes, they are washable but it is recommended that they not be washed with laundry soap and fabric softners. I would really do a test run before you make that beautiful quilt and have it faded/ruined.

Thank you everyone for your input. I see so many "cool" things done this way but wonder.. it seems it may be like that fabric with gold gilt to it? not so good after a few washings? Thanks again for taking the time to answer my silly question.
