That is what I would think, too as well as the crazy quilts that were made with all kinds of different fabrics--many not washable. They were hung outside to "air out". Can you imagine trying to wash a quilt on a washboard or in the creek?

I know!!
I also can't imagine washing a quilt in a bathtub! Think how hard that is on the fabric and seams, trying to lift that thing/move it around when it's all wet, mercy! Give me my front loader any day, LOL :-D

I agree with others. I have washed my PP quilts. Paper is removed before quilting, so it is the same as any other quilt.
