I'd like to make a carpenter's star using fabric from my stash.I will use 6 inch blocks. I have a two yd. piece of blue & two yd. of yellow. Will it look too odd if I use my collection of 1/2 yd. cuts of white. No two 1/2 yd. whites are the same. I really would like to make a dent in my stash.

I do scrappy backgrounds a lot of the time...I think it would look good...as long as there aren't big contrasts between your background colors.

I used Scrappy whites in a bow tiequilt before and it looked good. IMHO lol

If you are consistant using white A with blue and white B with yellow it would look planned

Thanks, I will do it. Of course I'll need to finish a few WIPS first.
