Carrying case

I have been trying to find a carrying case to take to retreats that would have various pockets to hold supplies. The ones that I have found would not be big enough for a 18 x 24 cutting mat. I am either not looking in the right place or do not know what to google. What do you quilters use to carry supplies and have it organized? Does anyone have suggestions either for a place to look for it or a pattern that I could make? Thanks.

There's a mat that Joann's sells (or used to - I have 3 of them), that easily fit an 18x24 cutting mat, pressing board and 24"+ rulers and tons of other ..... stuff.
They were around $30 but with a coupon......

But I can't find the link....It's blue and I think it was a Dritz or Omnigrid(?) product.

eta:
All I can find are nylon ones - mine are canvas or duck cloth.
An art supply store would also have portfolios that would also work for you.

Anyway, you can easily modify any bag pattern to make one for the size you need, with the pockets you want.

Artbin makes a great tote for your mat and rulers and it has plenty of storage for other supplies. You can also fit a project or two. Here's a link: http://www.artscraftsusa.com/Art-Bin...T_p_20724.html
It says it's no longer available but you might be able to find one on ebay. I love mine!

Here is another option... a whole page of craft totes.

I do know one of the 3 major pattern companies ( Mccall's, simplicity, butterrick) has a sewing accessories pattern that includes a tote. You might check them out and see if you could make one for yourself. You can see all three sites patterns on line.

If you are handy, you could design one on your own. That is what I would do if I couldn't find what I wanted.

Here is a site with tons of free purses and totes. You might be able to adapt one for your use.
