I would vote for a wheeled tote. Have one for the Janome that I got at Joannes quite a few years ago. There are two pieces although I'm not thrilled with the top one. It's curved so hard to put stuff in it. I was having a hard time carrying the Pfaff but could not afford the 'brand' name and it would not fit in the other one. Was in Joannes after Christmas and there was one in clearance, regularly $85, marked in 1/2, then down another 70% and I had a 20% off that could be used on all items, including sale items. Came out to about $13.00!!! Hate the fabric but going to try to cover it somehow with stiffened material or double sided quilted fabric. It was a good day.

I would go with a wheeled (rolling)case, especially for taking to classes. I am taking classes as well. My sewing machine goes into a wheeled case, then I carry another large flat bag with my cutting mat, rulers, etc, I also have a third case I carry with my fabrics/projects in that is styled like a large briefcase especially made for transporting sewing/quilting projects and tools. You won't regret getting a rolling case for the machine.

I have wheeled carts for each of my machines - which saves my back and the machines as we go back and forth to classes.

Ditto to what everyone said. I also got my tote on wheels on sale at Joann's. just sorry I didn't buy it sooner. What a great way to take you machine any place. Marge

Well, I thought they all comae with cases, both of mine have plastic cases that came with them. I wouldn't want to carry one around with some protection. they just cost too much to take a chance.

I agree, I would get a plastic case. They have them at walmart.

I bought a rolling tool bag for my sewing machine. (It looks nice and you can't tell that it was suppose to be a toolbag.)
It only cost me about $16.00. (I noticed on the website it says $24.00 but I bought this in the store.) I have older machines that are heavy. I thought the wheels on a tool bag would handle the weight of my machine better than some of the machine rolling cases that I've seen.

I bought it at Harbor Freights...here is a link to the picture. The handle telescopes up so I can just roll it behind me.
The bag is big enough that I should be able to put the machine and hard case into the bag.

You are so right! Just got my Tutto case that hubby ordered for me. It is awesome! Plenty of room for Nina (my baby) and all of my supplies. Has a metal frame and plenty of protection, yet folds to only 3 inches for storage. I will use the one that hubby got on super clearance for $8 at Joann's for my new little Brother.
