I don't know of any pattern but it should be easy to make. Do your strip sets and than add the triangles. The triangles can be added as rectangles or squares than cut down to size. Clear as mud?

You can find a pattern at Quilt Blocks Galore under Chain & Hourglass

Let's see:
I've made this pattern before in 6.5" and in 12.5", but I can't find the pattern for the 6.5" for now. I did find the pattern for the 12.5" and the Pattern is called "Cracker" so you may want to google that later, but read the directions on the pattern because one section makes the 1/4 block. The 6.5" blocks look really cute in 30s colors. The 12.5" block is at this link for quilters cache. Here goes: http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CrackerBlock.html |

I did something similar and used the square in a square technique - sorta to finish it. I used slightly bigger triangles than needed then cut off the little bit not wanted ... didn't have as much waste as the square in a square method. There actually is a site for the square in a square method .... you can do an online search for it. ali |
Here's the link for the completed 6.5" size block.
Here goes: http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltbl...cker_block.htm In my opinion, the smaller block looks nicer than the bigger block that is 12.5" per unit . Hope this helps and what you're looking for. |
