Riversong's post (http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/22772.page) got me to thinking about that rush every Christmas season to get quilted gifts done. Every year I promise I'll get started earlier; every year I make the same promise for next year

This year I'm really gonna stick my neck out and list here the Christmas sewing I want to get done. I'll come back and update my progress around the same time each month. Names aren't listed to protect me from the recipients' prying eyes:wink:

2 Tree Skirts
1 Poinsettia Quilt quilted
1 Poinsettia Quilt pieced and quilted
1 Undetermined pattern quilt pieced and quilted
8 ornament sets (12 ornaments each)
4 Wall Hangings
2 table runner/mats/mug rug sets
4 quilted charm pack totes

C'mon and join me with your own list or nag me on! Links to quick-to-finish projects for us procrastinators are more than welcome too! With a list like this, I need all the help I can get

Coooo, you are brave, Roben - I don't think I can do that, but I have finished two UFO's this year, am working on a third, and have made 5 quilts for Project Linus, and my Doll Quilt for the swap I signed up for, so I am doing a lot better than I did last year. I wish you well with your endeavours, and shall keep popping back to see how your are doing.

Wow! You make me tired, just reading your list! I assume you have found the fountain of extra time or something, and wade in it regularly. Good luck with all that. It is great to try to make yourself accountable 0 I am hoping that theory works for me too - I recently told what I wanted to do, and promised to report on progress.

grammatjr - you go. That will keep you busy.

I don't want to post my list... I'll be mighty red in the face when I come up completely short (again) this year.... Let's just say I think it is 3x longer - at least

Roben, you are one brave woman!! And, yep, I can nag you along with the best of 'em (just ask my hubby)

What you might think of doing is to first make an old
fashioned square dancing skirt. you know the type, it had
masses of ruffles in it with miles of glittering zig zag sewed
on it. You could get colors to match your living room near the tree, or simply use Christmas colors.

I cut mine to fit a Christmas Tree. I cut it in 2 pieces, hemmed it and put on snaps. Put under the tree, it showed
up well and drew lots of praise.

ok, I will make my list.
1. Christmas door hanging
2. Christmas skirt
3. queen quilt - major color is purple. possible design is a string quilt or barjello heart.
and I'm hoping and praying I get all this done!
Wow to your list!
Happy sewing :)

OK, I'll add my list.

1. Bear Paw quilt -- finish the quilting, bind it and label
2. Golf quilt -- piece, quilt, bind and label
3. Jungle wall hanging -- label
4. Baseball quilt -- label
5. Sweet pea quilt -- piece, quilt, bind and label
6. Three undetermined patterns to piece, quilt, bind and label

Somehow I don't think I'm going to get everything done by Christmas. #3, 5 and 6 can wait till next Christmas since they are all siblings.
