You can make them round the same way. They are neat too.

Wouldn't you know I can't find the site. with the pattern. I don't know why you couldn't turn inside out and cut in circle, turn right and top stitch around it.

I made these coasters last year for housewarming gifts during the holidays. Every one loved them. Another item you can make with the same design is increase your square to 10 inches and use two pieces of batting with the metal inside. it makes lovely hot pads for putting hot food on the table. Colorful! I gave 6 coasters at a time and wrapped them in ribbon, no wrapping paper. Jan
