Desigh Wall
I have made 3 of these and just love the pattern.
If you are using scrappy fabric the best thing I would recommend is to use a design wall. That will make it easier to get all the fabric moved around better. Do not just make the blocks and think that they will go together. I did that and got all the light yellow in one corner. |
Why is it called a Christmas Pickle quilt?
|
I failed miserably in my one attempt to make a pickle dish quilt. I love the quilt and would definitely try paper piecing if I ever work up the nerve to try again.

Oh my...............I have to make this! I am not very good at paper piecing but should be by the time I finish this quilt!

That's a beautiful pattern!

Sorry, I haven't heard of this. It does look interesting, googled it...

good luck! it looks pretty complicated but paper piecing should simplify matter, make sure you have lots of fabric.

I made one.....thought it took an incredible amount of fabrics. I found the skinny arc difficult. One key I found was that it is very necessary to make sure the directional arrows (laying it out on the grain)is very important. Good luck. I quit after doing a bunch. It was stressing me too much to keep going. I'll try to post a picture....
