I saw a tute here last week I think about a special ruler for making round tree skirts you sew the strips togather & use a 6 something ruler to cut the strips out. Daoes anyone know what I am talking about ? Thanks CAthy A tumrub

oops should have read it correctly you want the ruler, huh? i have been looking on line and a few places have them but they are around $20 and up. i am going to look for them at a few local places.

I use Marilyn Doheny's 9 degree ruler. If you go to her site (link below) it's the 25"-9 degree ruler. You may be able to find one for a better price on ebay or even here on the QB.

Thank you both for the info. I will look around for the ruler I thought it would be fun to make a couple of skirts for my self & my sister. Thanks again tumrub

Phillips Fiber Arts has the ruler and the Spicy Spiral table runner pattern comes with it. I think theirs is 10 degree which makes a slightly larger skirt, but not by much.

I was just there and now a second pattern is included. Look around the site. There are some fascinating tools and patterns.

You could use the 10 degree ruler and would only need 36 wedges as opposed to 40 with the 9 degree ruler, and the 10 degree ruler is 19.98 on the site irishrose gave, whereas I haven't seen the 9 degree for less than 28.95...

I have also made Dresden plate Christmas Tree Skirts.
