I read something a while back about how to clean your cutting mat. I have a self healing cutting mat (really big) and I don't want to ruin it by cleaning it with something that should not go on it.
Is there something besides water that I need to clean it with?
I have lots of fuzz from cutting fabric and I will be cutting white and I don't want to get the darker fuzz all over it.
Thanks for any help.

I use the net nylon bath squishy, it works wonderful and very cheat buy them at wal-mart or the dollar store.

I use a lint roller to get the majority of the lint off...

Great tips! Thanks for sharing.

I use a round honing stone. It works great. One side is for smoothing one side for removing burrs. You can find it at most hardware stores.

You can get a mat smoother at your LQS. It works pretty well on a mat that is in good shape to begin with. If your mat is already worn, or worn out, it won't do much good

Sometimes I use the edge of one of my cutting rulers to scrape off the residue. Othertimes I use those nylon scrubbies which are more rough than the boyt scrubbers but still don't scratch the surface.
