My friend and I started a quilt guild this year at school, and today the school paper ran a story about us. There is a video and an article.

Its very exciting.

Very nice article. Wish I had started quilting while I was in college - so many more years I could have quilted. Started sewing very young, just not quilting.

What a great idea!!!

wow, the article said you had done a quilt one hundred feet long! Now that's a lot of work and dedication.
This is awesome. I didn't think there would be enough interest among college age students towards quilting.
The quilting world is so much bigger than it used to be, and I don't mean by participants, but the kinds of quilts being made. By starting a guild, you have contributed to a legacy at your college.

What a wonderful idea and great of you to see it to fulfillment! It is great for young people of such diversified interest to come together in this way :D
Not only are some of them learning a new craft but you are giving to your community. Good for you

I love your idea for a guild at school. Something to be proud of, keep up the great work. Looking forward to hearing more on how your group is doing. Keep on quilting! :D

To us OLD Quilters this is a great article. We love to see you young people take up the craft. And to explain the processes and share is a bonding thing. Anyone who belongs to a guild or quilt club,a class knows how they look forward to the day. I think it especially grand that you/someone would use the history of quilt making for a thesis.. It has a very RICH history and I for one am happy to have quilted for over 50 years and made over 500 quilts applaud you  :)
